IRCTC: Indian Railways has decided to reopen reservation ticket counter from 22 May. On this, the Railway Board has issued an order on Thursday. Now passengers will be able to book tickets from the railway station counter in addition to online ticket booking. The railway had closed the ticket reservation counter during lockdown due to the Coronavirus epidemic. However, people have to follow the social distancing while booking tickets on the counter. Railways have made special preparations for this.
Along with running 100 pairs of special trains from June 1, the railways have decided to reopen reservation ticket counter. From May 22, reservation counters will be reopened across the country including Dhanbad. The Railway Board has issued an order related to it on Thursday evening. However, in the letter issued from the board, the zonal railways have been empowered to make arrangements to open counters by following social distancing.

In this regard, Senior DCM of Dhanbad Railway Division Akhilesh Kumar Pandey said that reservation counters will be opened according to the demand of passengers. The decision on how many counters to be opened, will be taken on Friday as per the situation.
